The Goddess That Failed By Janice Fiamengo

The Goddess That Failed

Feminism's Unending War against Men, Families, and Civilization Itself

By Janice Fiamengo

In the new book, The Goddess That Failed: Feminism's Unending War against Men, Families, and Civilization Itself by the creator of the series, "The Fraud of Feminism," Professor Janice Fiamengo blows the lid off of feminism. Fiamengo, once a true believer, completing a PhD with specialization in feminist literature and theory, confronted the reality of female rage, false claims, the denial of merit, shattered families, and heartbroken fathers. She saw young men blatantly discriminated against in academic hiring. She came to see that feminism is a false god that leads women to hate by telling them that they are victims. She has spent the past decade alerting humanity to its dangers.

When we think of "feminism," most people in America recognize Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem as leaders of second-wave feminism in the '60s and '70s. "Women's Liberation" was the catch phrase used by women protesting their confinement in traditional roles. But were they really so confined, and why were they so quick to denounce all men as oppressors, railing against the so-called "comfortable concentration camp" of middle-class life in suburbia, while almost completely ignoring the dire situation of women elsewhere in the world? As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we should recall that post-9/11 feminists have been far more interested in keeping dangerous illegals in the country and railing against western patriarchies than in acknowledging the profound freedoms and security western men have extended to them.

In 2017, the Women's March in Washington was a massive protest advocating women's rights, civil rights, and social justice where women like multi-millionaire Madonna expressed her rage at losing her "rights" and privileged actor Ashley Judd made a fool of herself with her "Nasty Woman" speech. They were never able to define exactly what rights they'd lost in America.

During the COVID pandemic in 2020 and beyond, white men were blamed for allegedly spreading the virus due to fears about their masculinity and women were alleged, in countless news articles, to be superior leaders, more compassionate, courageous, and practical. Men's crucial roles on various front lines were erased as they were demonized and hectored. Hatred of men's allegedly "toxic" masculinity became a common feminist talking point.

In The Goddess That Failed, you'll learn:

·    What went wrong with feminism: how it moved from a focus on equal rights and equal citizenship to its present man-blaming, man-shaming, female supremacist, victim-focused, anti-western, vengeful ideology.

·    How modern feminism misrepresents the situation of women and men today, encouraging anger and unhappiness in women, suspicion of men, hatred of our culture, and a victim mindset that denies personal responsibility and realism.

·    How modern feminism ignores the problems of men, representing all men as privileged oppressors who deserve to bear the burden of centuries of unfair advantage, resulting in male confusion, withdrawal, and resistance - and, in the worst cases, depression, substance-abuse, hedonism, and suicide.

·    How fathers have long been in feminists' crosshairs, excoriated as abusive, irresponsible, and above all, expendable. Feminists routinely deny that fathers bring anything important to their children's lives and advocate for policies and laws that circumscribe a divorced or unmarried father's right to parent his children.

·    Few feminists are willing to admit that it was feminism, not patriarchy, that paved the way for transgenderism and men invading women's sports... and they are unwilling to recognize that long before a small number of men set out to invade women's single-sex spaces, men's single-sex spaces were deliberately destroyed by feminists without apology.

The Goddess That Failed shows why feminism has nothing to do with gender equality. It is a radical ideology that seeks sexual license, unearned economic privileges, and freedom from adult accountability for women. It enforces economic servitude, shame, and legal disempowerment for men. It impugns male goodness while excusing female wrongdoing; even worse, it encourages women to be their worst selves while telling men that they can never be good enough. Feminism thus destroys the very thing it claims to seek - true reciprocity between the sexes. The path forward must begin with women and men breaking free of the feminist mindset in order to work together to prioritize the flourishing of children in sane, stable societies.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Janice Fiamengo earned her doctorate from the University of British Columbia in 1996; she retired in 2019 from her position as Professor of English at the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. She is the author of The Woman's Page: Journalism and Rhetoric in Early Canada as well as many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on women's writing. In 2015, she began The Fiamengo File, a YouTube series and later Substack newsletter showcasing the dark side of feminism. She edited Sons of Feminism: Men Have Their Say, a collection of essays about men's experiences, in 2017. She has lectured to many university students and been protested and "cancelled" by the same for arguing that feminism is a hateful, bigoted ideology that discriminates against men, weakens the family, and will potentially destroy western societies' freedom and prosperity.
