The Passing of a Dear Friend in Radio

My good friend and radio producer, Art Clifton passed away early Sunday morning. Art was a shining light on this earth and will be missed terribly. He attended the Talkers Convention in NYC two years in a row (I met him in 2007) and he always stayed in touch. His good friend and radio host Father Tom Loya was with him at the last convention and it was such fun and a great pleasure to introduce them to many wonderful people in Talk Radio. Here is a photo Art loved (at left) when he got to meet one of his heroes, G. Gordon Liddy. I took this picture of them and sent it to him and he was so happy to receive it. You can read more about Art and post here. Our condolences and special prayers to Art and his family.

Here's a tribute from Father Tom Loya:
Art Clifton, producer and engineer for "Light of the East Radio" and assistant producer and engineer for "A Body of Truth," www.catholicradiointerntional.com passed away at the age of 64 following a brief battle with cancer. Art Clifton was a zealous, tireless radio producer and engineer. Because he believed in the best things in life he strove to make his radio work the best. But Art also believed in me and he dedicated entirely, what was unbeknownst to him, the last four years of his earthly life to my vision and message. Although I will remember Art Cliftion always, my memory nor that of anyone else is worthy enough for Art. So, I ask Almighty God Himself to keep Art in His Divine mind and may Art Clifton's memory be eternal.

'Born Liberal Raised Right' By Reb Bradley

Reb Bradley's controversial new book, Born Liberal Raised Right: How to Rescue America from Moral Decline - One Family at a Time, offers very controversial ideas on liberalism. The timing of its release by WND Books is perfect - post-election as Americans, especially conservatives, are trying so hard to regroup and get back to their original values and beliefs. Reb believes too many conservative parents are raising liberal kids!

Reb shows why conservatives must help their children mature past their infantile liberal stage or watch our country continue to pay the price. Societal pressures and foolish child-rearing theories gone mainstream are preventing parents from acting like parents. As a result, we’re failing to develop in our children the key ingredients of maturity - self-control and self-discipline. Unless corrected at a young age, too many kids will become adults ruled purely by magical thinking, passions, emotions, instant gratification and an inability to say “no” to themselves - the very hallmarks of the liberal mindset. But there is an answer!

Inside Born Liberal Raised Right parents will learn why the behavioral characteristics that exemplify liberalism are the “default position” in young children; and why the concepts of self-control and self-discipline must be taught early and often, in contradiction to the true nature of most children. It’s up to parents to turn their tiny tyrants into good citizens by helping their children overcome their “inner liberal.” In this timely book, Reb Bradley shows why our nation’s future depends on it. More on Reb... Watch Reb Bradley on the G. Gordon Liddy Show as filmed by C-SPAN's Book TV.

Iraqi War Hero Available for Your Show on Vets Day

Nick Popaditch, author of Once a Marine: An Iraq War Tank Commander's Inspirational Memoir of Combat, Courage, and Recovery will be available for radio and TV interviews next week for Veteran's Day. In his presentation for the VET Foundation, he told the story of how he'd enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1986, was badly wounded commanding a tank in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004 and suffered grievous head wounds that left him legally blind and partially deaf. The USMC awarded him the Silver Star for his valor and combat innovation. And now he's written a wonderful book documenting his experience having gone to hell and back. To schedule interviews with Nick, e-mail Joel Parker at call Joel at 818-990-2252 [more...]
