Turning Point By John Bachman

"Four days of intense fighting in a remote corner of the planet turned the tide in a global struggle; brilliantly explains how this happened."

--GORDON CHANG, Conservative Columnist

 TURNING POINT

HOW REAGAN LIBERATED GRENADA AND WON THE COLD WAR

By John Bachman

THE UNTOLD STORY OF REAGAN, THATCHER, THE INVASION OF GRENADA AND THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF THE COLD WAR

How Reagan reignited the foreign policy principles that made America a Shining City Upon a Hill."

"Grenada, we were told, was a friendly island paradise for tourism. Well, it wasn't. It was a Soviet-Cuban colony being readied as a major military bastion to export terror and undermine democracy. We got there just in time.''

--President Ronald Reagan, October 27, 1983

The biggest story of the 20th century - the fall of the Soviet Union - starts with the battle for Grenada. It is the first time the West and the United States successfully pushed back against the Soviets and communism. In his timely new book TURNING POINT: How Reagan Liberated Grenada and Won the Cold War award-winning journalist and Newsmax TV host, John Bachman tells the story of the liberation of Grenada, a critical time in the Cold War - a turning point from Soviet advances towards the United States to victories over the Soviet state. These U.S. triumphs include the fall of the Berlin Wall, the fall of the Warsaw Pact countries, and eventually, the Soviet republics and Russia itself.

On October 25th, 1983, President Ronald Reagan launched one of the most successful invasions in modern American history. In four days, Operation Urgent Fury successfully liberated the Island of Grenada from communist forces and reinstated the democratically elected government. It was the first major American operation since Vietnam and the first victorious major military operation since World War II. And this monumental task almost came at the cost of the most important Cold War alliance: that between President Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The urgency of action meant that the Prime Minister and close American ally was left out of the loop, publicly embarrassing for her and straining their relationship.

TURNING POINT reveals how America was able to invade a country, liberate it from a corrupt government that threatened stability in the Western hemisphere, and leave the potential for a prosperous future in the hands of its own people; it explores the greater picture of how Reagan avoided succumbing to interventionist nation-building and becoming an occupying force. President Reagan's strategic success helped bring an end to the Cold War and is a much needed lesson for current American foreign policy.

Grenada was more than just a story about a small battle in a Caribbean nation; it was the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union. A new president was in town, and he rejected the coexistence and détente policies of previous presidents. No, this president, Ronald Reagan, was going to hit this "Evil Empire" with everything.

Reagan spoke out often against the Soviets, saying America would transcend the Soviet state and consign it to "the ash heap of history." Ronald Reagan won the Cold War by standing firm against Soviet hegemony. It's a story that needs to be told, and now, in TURNING POINT, John Bachman has told it brilliantly and thoroughly.

"Bachman brilliantly shows how Reagan brought his deep and intuitive understanding of the American people and domestic politics to bear on foreign policy and provided the homegrown support any president needs to win overseas."

--AMBASSADOR RICHARD GRENELL, Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions of United States

"A fresh and needed perspective on how a small island's liberation may have temporarily strained a historic alliance but ultimately handed Reagan and the U.S. a key victory on the way to winning the Cold War."

--KT McFARLAND, Former Deputy National Security Advisor of the United States

Called to Prosperity By Aaron DeHOOG

CALLED TO PROSPERITY

Discover How to Give, Gain, and Grow YOUR Wealth for GOD'S Kingdom

By Aaron DeHOOG

Discover what the Bible actually says about money and unlock the financial principles God designed for His people. In this groundbreaking book CALLED TO PROSPERITY: Discover How to Give, Gain and Grow Your Wealth for God's Kingdom financial expert and ministry leader Aaron DeHOOG reveals the biblical blueprint for achieving abundant prosperity - not simply to accumulate wealth, but to advance God's Kingdom "on earth as it is in Heaven."

Research shows Christians who follow the biblical financial principles inside this book are three times wealthier than the average American. Yet most believers have never been taught these transformative truths showing how God commands us to:

·    GIVE with purpose and joy - unlocking Heaven's floodgates

·    GAIN through meaningful work that creates value for others

·    GROW your resources through wise investments

Money is the root of all evil, right? Not exactly. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. But money in and of itself can be used to do amazing things, i.e., feed the hungry, heal the sick, and build churches.

CALLED TO PROSPERITY challenges the way you think about wealth, showing that prosperity isn't something to fear or avoid - it's something to seek and steward. With a blend of biblical wisdom and real-world application, Aaron DeHoog reveals how to unlove money so you can be used to expand God's Kingdom and transform lives.

Drawing from 2,350 biblical verses on money and his own journey from bankruptcy to abundance, Aaron provides practical steps to build lasting wealth while making a Kingdom impact. You'll discover why tithing is just the beginning, how to invest with confidence, and the surprising ways biblical characters like Daniel, Boaz, and Joseph used their prosperity.

Through the timeless parable of the three servants, and a practical blueprint for giving, gaining, and growing wealth, this book will help you:

·    Let go of guilt and fear around money.

·    Discover God's design for abundance.

·    Multiply what you have been given - for His glory.

CALLED TO PROSPERITY is NOT about getting rich quick - it is about becoming the faithful steward God designed you to be, multiplying your resources, like the servants in Jesus' parable who doubled their talents. This is more than a financial guide. It's a call to live boldly, generously, and with purpose. Are you ready to stop burying your talents and start experiencing the financial abundance God intended for you?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: AARON DeHOOG is a respected Christian financial expert who helps believers align their finances with Kingdom principles. He earned a bachelor's degree in Christian theology and history from Calvin College in Michigan. After a semester at Jerusalem University in Israel, Aaron received an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Aaron was a financial publisher at Newsmax, where he led a team that helped more than 300,000 people with their investment decisions. He was then recruited to serve as CEO of Banyan Hill Publishing, where he guided more than 500,000 people in wealth-building strategies. Following his personal journey from bankruptcy to abundance, Aaron wrote CALLED TO PROSPERITY to teach Christians how to give, gain, and grow financially for God's Kingdom. The Common Sense Cowboy's Guide to Life By Patrick Dorinson

THE COMMON SENSE COWBOY'S GUIDE TO LIFE

STORIES FROM THE OLD GUY AT THE END OF THE BAR

By Patrick Dorinson

with Mathew Klickstein

"When you're running out of sunsets, don't waste the sunrises you have left."

Patrick "The Common Sense Cowboy" Dorinson welcomes you to hop on the stool next to him for 70 years of life stories, a coupla insights, and maybe even a laugh or two from "the old guy at the end of the bar." Whether your poison is a fresh, cold beer, a shot of whiskey, or maybe just a soda water and lime, THE COMMON SENSE COWBOY'S GUIDE TO LIFE will shed new light on the ups and downs we all go through together across this glorious nation of ours. In the vein of such modern classics as Chicken Soup for the Soul and Tuesdays with Morrie, this book will hopefully lend a little extra guidance during these tumultuous days to those seeking it... along with some relatable tales of faith, failure, redemption, and enduring passion for being the best version of oneself possible.

The Common Sense Cowboy's 12 Rules for Life:

1.    The secret to a long life is getting up every day with a purpose. Young or old, working or retired, everyone needs a purpose, so find yours.

2.    Never betray trust, because trust is like virginity. Once lost, it's impossible to get back.

3.    Everything breaks sooner or later. So, learn how to fix things.

4.    The measure of a man is when he does the right thing even when no one is watching. If you do the wrong thing and nobody saw you do it, it's still wrong.

5.    Don't waste time thinking about what might have been. Put the "might have beens" in the same trash can reserved for the "wouldas," the "shouldas" and the "couldas." Then get busy with the "doin."

6.    A fancy education might gain you some knowledge, but only hard life experiences will gain you wisdom. A PhD won't help you fix a flat tire.

7.    Be wary of the person who tells you they can get you a burger and fries for nothing. There is no free lunch.

8.    Your word is your bond, and your handshake seals the deal.

9.    If you shake hands with a politician, be sure to count your fingers when you let go to make sure you still have all five.

10. Don't pray for things. The Almighty is not Amazon or Costco and faith delivers salvation and comfort, not packages.

11. There is right and there is wrong. There are no loopholes and the only thing in between are excuses.

12. The Good Lord gave us each a certain number of seconds, minutes, hours and days, but he didn't give us our expiration date. Use your time wisely and live life to the fullest.

IT'S TIME TO COWBOY UP AND START RIDIN' FENCES!

"Some books give good advice, some bad. This book gives good advice - something you might want to read, absorb and put into practice. I hope that, in reading the book before you, you may acquire a few more strategies for how to avoid the bad things, do the good things... and hopefully have a few laughs along the way."

--CRAIG SHIRLEY, presidential historian, and New York Times bestselling author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Patrick Dorinson is know as the "Common Sense Cowboy" and has lived and endured through the course of his seven-plus decades on this planet as a maverick, a dreamer, a schemer and - most appropriately for the purposes of this bio - a communicator. Dorinson is an accomplished author, speaker, Newsmax and Fox News contributor who, for nearly a decade, was host of his own The Cowboy Libertarian radio show on iHeart media's Sacramento-based KFBK. Although he takes pride in the fact that renowned conservative talk show stalwart Rush Limbaugh had his start at the same station, Dorinson takes further pride still in the fact that throughout his lengthy career, he has worked with equal passion and grit on both sides of the aisle. Aspiring toward being something of a modern-day Will Rogers (with a twinkly-eyed twist of Mark Twain), Dorinson transmits his thoughtful dispatches via his popular https://ridinfences.com/ platform, continuing to tell the stories of regular folks who do most of the heavy lifting in America today. Dorinson is proud to have worked on ranch crews, won buckles in cow work competitions and been a campfire teller of tales both tall and small alike.
