SLEEP TO HEAL
7 SIMPLE STEPS TO BETTER
SLEEP
By Abhinav Singh, M.D.
Medical Director at the Indiana Sleep Center & NBA Sleep Coach
What if a good night's sleep was all you needed to transform your life beyond your wildest dreams?
Are you tired of waking up tired? You're not alone. We may have become super-productive in our fast-paced, always-connected, 24/7 society. We pride ourselves on being ambitious, energetic, and productive. But we've paid a high price for our modern lifestyle. We've lost something precious: our harmonious connection to sleep, a natural biological function integral to our overall health and well-being. In his new book, SLEEP TO HEAL: 7 Simple Steps to Better Sleep, Dr. Abhinav Singh has discovered the solutions you've been looking for to understand the enduring mystery of sleep.
The new and unraveling science of sleep tells us that sleep impacts everything from anxiety and creativity to productivity and longevity. We also now know it's an essential pillar of health - perhaps even more important than nutrition and exercise; and there is no way around the fact that without proper sleep, our bodies suffer and age more rapidly. After all, we spend one-third of our lives sleeping.
Dr. Abhinav Singh is a physician with a keen interest in preventive medicine, and he firmly believes that better sleep equals better health. Whatever your age, this book will help you revolutionize your waking/sleeping patterns on a daily basis and will support you on a renewed journey toward better sleep and therefore better health, and ultimately a better life. You'll learn to sleep the way we were meant to sleep: in quiet darkness by the natural rhythm of a rising and setting sun - medication free.
In SLEEP TO HEAL, you'll learn:
· That everyone can learn to sleep better - much in the same way athletes have coaches, SLEEP TO HEAL can be a most valuable tool to coach you to a better night's sleep;
· SLEEP TO HEAL is different from other sleep books - it is written from a clinical perspective (from a primary care doctor's perspective) and filled with real patient success stories. Primary care looks after a patient and sleep impacts the entire health of each and every patient in a profound way;
· All about how, during the COVID-19 pandemic, humanity's sleep - collectively, globally, as a whole - was collapsing under the weight of the stress of our "new normal" - every person's sleep was affected;
· How to conquer insomnia, fatigue, sleep apnea, snoring and even ways to manage narcolepsy and forever put an end to debilitating sleep deprivation;
· About the sleep-success connection: for athletes, CEOs, executives, artists, writers and professionals; and
· Sleep heals almost everything. HEAL is 66% of the word HEALTH and it's right there for all of us to pay attention to in order to live a better more productive life. Proper sleep adds life to your years and years to your life.
No matter your goal - better sleep, losing weight, or simply feeling calmer and more patient in your relationships - it's never too late for a 'sleep reboot.' Based on scientific research and 15 years of clinical experience from a double board-certified sleep physician who has taught the art of sleep to more than 7,000 patients, SLEEP TO HEAL will forever reshape the way you think about sleep and provide you with the strategies and tools you need to transform your life from the inside out - one peaceful night at a time.
